‘Tea and craft beer,Bridging Chinese and British Cultures.’

Hosted by WM Tangram, the ‘Tea in a Tipsy Moment · An East-Meets-West Gathering — Kingstar Chinese Craft Beer Tasting Salon’ was successfully held at Bicester Village in the UK.
Centred around an original Chinese tea-infused craft beer, the event brought together the traditions of Chinese tea and drinking culture with modern craft brewing. It welcomed both local British guests and members of the Chinese community in the UK, offering an immersive tasting experience that combined cultural discovery with innovative flavours.
Through this unique celebration of tea and craft beer, the event showcased a fresh expression of innovation from Chinese brands while exploring new ways for Chinese culture and home-grown brands to reach international audiences together.

The event also welcomed Liu Shiyi, a sixth-generation inheritor of the Phoenix Dancong tea tradition, who introduced guests to Chinese tea culture and Chaozhou Gongfu Tea, a nationally recognised intangible cultural heritage.
Guests learned about the history of Phoenix Dancong and the art of Gongfu tea brewing, while enjoying an immersive tea-tasting experience in a relaxed British setting. The session also highlighted the creative fusion of traditional Chinese tea and modern craft beer.
Guests then sampled six Jinxing Chinese craft beers featuring flavours such as Longjing green tea, Xinyang Maojian and jasmine tea. The blend of tea aromas and craft beer offered a distinctive and refreshing tasting experience.
A standout favorite was the Candied hawthorn Chinese craft beer, combining the sweet-and-tart flavor of hawthorn with malt notes. Many British guests commented that such a creative blend of Chinese tradition and modern brewing is rarely seen in the European market.
